Get ready for one of the most unique 2026 offseason events in Wisconsin… because this year we’re turning the lights DOWN and the energy ALL THE WAY UP.

This immersive synthwave-themed event transforms the competition field into a neon-lit arena where teams are encouraged to bring LEDs, glow effects, and creative robot lighting to stand out under the blacklights!
​
Teams are HIGHLY encouraged to add UV-reactive materials, LEDs, glow effects, and creative lighting to their robots (and themselves) for the full experience!

This event starts at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lakeshore FIRST Robotics Education Center, 2814 Wollmer St, Manitowoc. Everyone is welcome! Come early so you can take a tour of the LREC and meet some of the mentors and teams!
It’s more than just robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams design, build, and program a robot using STEM skills following core values. A new challenge is released each season. Teams have an opportunity to learn from high school volunteers and our FIRST Tech Challenge Mentors.
